I am so incredibly proud of myself, I have finally uploaded a few of my favourite sassy mermaids onto my website! Preparing everything ready to paint is about all I can manage until my hand injury has healed. I purchased this old surfboard from a local in Yeppoon especially for this and will have something amazing on the front for my upcoming exhibition @figtreegalleries. Can you guess what I'll be painting?

|| NEW LISTING || I have a brand new website and have only uploaded one original painting so far (because it's my favourite and also cause it's taken me ALL day to get the website ready to publish!) so please go take a look 🫶 This one was created from a vision I had of painting lots of mini paintings for my solo exhibition (last year @figtreegalleries) and then painting a painting of all the mini paintings. Does that make sense?! Well, all the minis sold on opening night but I still have in my home this lovely painting of all the minis...and she's available to purchase on my website! || SOLD || My head is still spinning after finding out ALL my mini mermaids sold out at @grammarartshow opening night! I am forever grateful to you all 🫶 I have so many ideas for mermaids so you'll see more coming, but not for a little bit. My hand injury is getting better but I have commissions to do first, plus I have 2 exhibitions coming up. Oh my goodness, I feel so fortunate to be able to bring joy to people through my art, but also incredibly lucky to do what I love. I finally put this little one up on my website! 'Morning Dip' acrylic on canvas 30 x 30cm framed in oak She's not a mermaid but she's pretty close! This was painted from a photo I took on Cooee Bay Beach (where I live). I wonder if she will ever see this painting... she just looked so relaxed and peaceful.

This is why I love what I do! 'Smokin Hot' was created especially for this exhibition. I wanted her to be a strong fearless and fun sassy mermaid. She knows how to have a good time. I think she turned out just how I wanted her to. And thank you to @grammarartshow for inviting me to participate in your amazing annual exhibition. I can't believe all my mini mermaids sold out on opening night!

@grammarartshow is officially opening tomorrow night! I had purchased tickets and booked accommodation and were going to travel down to Toowoomba for it but stuff happened and we had to cancel (my van needed a new engine and other crap happened too). But that's ok. I'm all good. I'm just SO incredibly excited to see it unfold on social media and super proud to be invited to participate. I have 4 mini mermaids available and this one is my favourite. I'll be showing the others over the next few days. With an exhibition coming up soonish and my silly thumb not behaving itself I needed to think outside the box. Soothing and fun collages coming soon!

Starting the day with good vibes! Now it's time for a bit of admin work, then attempting to paint with my left hand, then maybe go for a short walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Enjoy your day everyone. Make the most of it!
